resources and events
CitizenHeritage delivered a range of events across Europe to experiment with and disseminate about citizen engagement in cultural heritage, in the scope of enabling better collaboration between Higher Education Institutions and the Cultural Heritage sector.
These events comprised:
- workshops to enable citizen participation and citizen science activities with digital cultural heritage collections
- seminars and outreach events to disseminate the project’s methodology, resources, tools and results and enable further replication and uptake by others, thus multiplying the project’s impact to a larger community of stakeholders
From these experiences, useful resources were developed to support knowledge-sharing and take up of Citizen Heritage methodologies and citizen engagement tools, for others to replicate the events in their communities:
- a series of educational videos to introduces and explore the intersection of citizen science and cultural heritage
- a step by step guidance for Institutions to help planning an activity with cultural heritage collections that includes citizen participation
- a Policy Brief with recommendations for Higher Education and Cultural Heritage Institutions managing Citizen Science projects
